These terms govern purchases and bookings made on www.cantinavillagianna.it: tastings, visits, events, gift vouchers and any products available for online sale.
1. Service provider
The seller and organiser is V.G. S.R.L. — Cantina Villa Gianna, VAT and tax identification number 01933550590, with its registered office at Strada Maremmana snc, Borgo San Donato, 04016 Sabaudia (LT), Italy. Administrative office and shop: Strada Petrimerco 1, Borgo San Michele, 04100 Latina (LT), Italy. Email: info@cantinavillagianna.it; telephone: +39 0773 250034.
These terms also apply to remote bookings where referred to in the offer. Requests for groups, businesses and private events become binding in accordance with the accepted quotation. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
2. Offer, price and confirmation
Before purchasing, read the product or experience description and check the date, time, participants, inclusions, any restrictions and meeting point. Prices are in euros and include applicable taxes; delivery charges and any additional fees are shown before the order is submitted.
You can check and correct your details before confirming. Submitting an order requiring payment entails an obligation to pay the amount shown in the summary. The contract is concluded when the winery sends its confirmation of acceptance by email; a simple automatic acknowledgement of receipt is not acceptance unless it expressly says so. Keep the confirmation and the terms applicable to your purchase.
If availability changes or an obvious pricing error emerges, we will contact you before fulfilment to propose a solution requiring your express acceptance or to refund the amount paid. Subsequent changes to these terms apply to future purchases.
3. Payments
You may use the payment methods actually shown at checkout. The selected provider, including PayPal when available, processes payment under its own procedures. Tickets or vouchers are issued after confirmation of the order and payment, except for free offers or other express instructions. If you do not receive confirmation, check your spam folder and contact us before purchasing again.
4. Tastings, visits and events
Your booking is for the activity, date and time stated in the confirmation. Duration, wines, pairings, participant numbers, included services and any extras are those in the description purchased. An enquiry or request for a quotation alone does not reserve places.
Come to the meeting point with your ticket or confirmation. The QR code allows us to verify the booking: keep it safe and do not publish it. A ticket already used does not entitle you to another admission. For name corrections or transfers, contact the winery, which will check the booking conditions.
Arriving late may prevent you from joining parts that have already started; call as soon as possible. During visits and walks, follow staff instructions and wear clothing and footwear suitable for the terrain. Any substantial programme changes will be communicated before the activity, with an appropriate solution or a refund for the service not received.
5. Adults and particular requirements
The purchase and tasting of alcoholic drinks are restricted to adults. The winery may verify age and refuse sales or service to minors. Accompanying minors may participate only under the arrangements provided for and confirmed, without being served alcohol.
For dietary, accessibility or mobility requirements, contact us before booking: we will confirm in writing what we can offer. We cannot guarantee the absence of traces of allergens without a specific assessment. Health information requires the precautions and consent described in our Privacy Policy; do not provide other people’s health data without being entitled to do so.
6. Cancellations and date changes
For tastings, visits and leisure events booked for a specific date or period, there is no statutory fourteen-day cooling-off right in the cases covered by Article 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code. The winery nevertheless offers these options:
- At least 48 hours before the start: you may cancel and receive a full refund.
- Less than 48 hours and at least 24 hours before: you may reschedule once, choosing a new available date.
- Less than 24 hours before or in the event of a no-show: no refund is provided, subject to mandatory rights.
Email your request to info@cantinavillagianna.it, stating the order number, date and name. Deadlines are calculated against the confirmed start time, using Italian local time. A date change is valid once confirmed by the winery.
If we cancel an activity for organisational, safety or weather reasons, or because it cannot take place, you may choose an alternative available date or a full refund for the cancelled activity. No postponement will be imposed instead of a refund. Any agreed conditions for private events and groups are included in the quotation before acceptance.
7. Gift vouchers
The amount or experience included, any expiry date, delivery method and use of the voucher are as stated in the offer and confirmation. The recipient books subject to availability and presents the required code. Do not consider a date confirmed before the winery replies. Keep the code confidential and report any problems promptly.
The rules for an experience already scheduled for a particular date do not automatically exclude the right of withdrawal for an undated voucher. For the latter, where applicable, consumers may give notice of withdrawal within fourteen days of concluding the contract; digital delivery of the voucher alone does not remove that right. Any legally permitted limitations must be explained before purchase and accompanied by the required expressions of consent.
8. Products and deliveries
For any physical products sold online, destinations served, delivery costs and methods are shown during purchase. Unless a different period is agreed, delivery takes place within thirty days of concluding the contract. Legal remedies remain available for delays or non-delivery.
Risk passes to the consumer when they, or a third party they designate other than the carrier, physically receive the goods; the exception for a carrier independently chosen by the consumer and not offered by the seller remains applicable. If the parcel arrives damaged, report the problem and, where possible, keep the packaging and photographs. Failure to report it immediately does not remove your statutory rights.
9. Withdrawal for goods
Consumers buying remotely may give notice of withdrawal within fourteen days of receiving the goods, or the last item in the applicable cases of separate deliveries. Send a clear statement to info@cantinavillagianna.it or the registered office. You may use the form at the bottom of this page, but this is not mandatory.
After giving notice, return the goods within fourteen days to the registered office, unless another address is agreed. You bear the direct return costs only if you were informed of them before purchase. You are responsible for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the goods.
Refunds are made within fourteen days of the withdrawal notice, using the same payment method unless otherwise agreed without cost, and include standard delivery. They do not include the surcharge for a more expensive delivery option you selected. We may wait until we receive the goods or evidence of dispatch, whichever comes first. The exceptions in Article 59 apply only where their conditions are met: wine is not excluded from withdrawal simply because it is wine.
10. Guarantee and support
Goods bought by consumers are covered by the statutory conformity guarantee: the seller is liable for defects that become apparent within two years of delivery, under the conditions and remedies provided by the Italian Consumer Code. For a problem, email info@cantinavillagianna.it with your order number and a description; for products, photographs and the batch number are useful. No clause limits mandatory liabilities or protections.
11. Privacy and disputes
Data processing is described in our Privacy Policy. For enquiries, complaints or clarification, contact the winery using the details in section 1. You may use the competent alternative dispute resolution bodies under the applicable procedures.
Italian law applies, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections provided by the law of their country of residence where applicable. Consumer disputes fall within the jurisdiction determined by the rules protecting consumers; business relationships are subject to the applicable jurisdiction rules and any valid agreements.
